This temperature probe is a handheld K-type thermocouple probe designed for use with multimeters that offer temperature measurement. It converts thermal readings to readable values across common industrial contexts, enabling technicians in automation, electrical, electronics and mechanical fields to monitor process and component temperatures in Centigrade or Fahrenheit scales.
It uses a shrouded banana jack compatible with instruments that accept banana-style inputs for secure electrical contact.
The probe outputs thermocouple voltages that the meter converts to readings selectable in Centigrade or Fahrenheit depending on the instrument settings.
A 1m insulated lead is supplied to reach into panels and assemblies without repositioning the meter.
A K-type thermocouple element is used, providing the probes characteristic temperature range and response behaviour.
