TDK CKG Stacked MLCC Series
From TDK, the CKG series of MLCCs (Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors) feature a double stacked construction. This design allows for twice the amount of capacitance without changing the footprint of the capacitor. CKG MLCCs are able to absorb mechanical and thermal stress. These MLCCs provide lower ESL and lower ESR than aluminium capacitors and give improved vibration performance.
Features and benefits:
Two stacked chips take a single capacitor space
Stress induced by board flex is absorbed by the metal frame
Stress caused by mechanical shock is absorbed by metal caps over the external electrodes
Product Applications:
Suitable applications for CKG MLCCs include smoothing circuits, LED and HID applications, piezoelectric effect countermeasures and DC-DC circuits.
