ERNI ERmet ZD High Speed Differential Hard Metric Female Connectors
ERmet ZD High-Speed female backplane signal connectors designed for high-speed differential signalling in telecom applications at data rates of up to 5 Gbits/s. These ERmet ZD high-speed signal connectors have an optimised grid construction designed to reduce signal interference and improve RF characteristics. This grid layout also enables these ERmet ZD connectors to be integrated with conventional 2 mm HM or Eurocard connector systems (IEC 061076-4-101). These ERmet ZD high- speed signal connectors have a robust mechanical design and four pre-alignment pegs for improved rigidity and polarisation on the PCB. Press fit terminations allow simple and secure PCB mounting.
These ERmet ZD female connectors are 25 mm in length and are available in 2, 3 & 4 pair configurations.

Applications
These ERmet ZD connectors have been selected as the backplane interconnect for the PICMG 3.x (ATCA) industry standard and meet performance requirements of high speed, low voltage differential signalling. Typical applications include Daughter Card, Extender Card and High-Speed applications in the telecommunications and computer industries. The 3 pair ERmet ZD female connector can also be used in PCI Express applications and the 4 pair version in AdvancedTCA applications.
