Product details
Schneider Electric TeSys K Reversing Contactors.
Schneider Electric TeSys K provide you with a choice of reversing and non-reversing contactors. TeSys K contactors, unlike relays, are specifically designed to connect to high current load devices. Used in larger-scale applications, Schneider Electric contactors can be controlled remotely, specifically designed to switch a large amount of electrical power through its contacts.
The contractors feature varied switching voltages, many of the range feature screw clamp or a solder termination. TeSys K contactors offer you the best performance and compactness ratio plus also ensuring easy integration in all applications.
- Highly reliable
- Excellent quality
- Easily installed accessories
Contactor Features.
- Common options available for all ratings: 6, 9, 12 A
- Control circuits available: AC, DC, low-consumption DC, silent
- Applications: 2.2 kW, 4.5 kW, 5.5 kW in AC3 and AC4
- Connectors: screw clamp, faston connectors, spring terminals, pins for printed circuit boards
Control Relay Features.
4 pole relays with 10A thermally rated contacts suitable for AC or DC control voltages. Low consumption coil versions with built in suppression and suitable to be used with programmable controllers are also available.
- Contacts with 10A thermal rating, suitable for use down to 17V 5mA
- Four-pole for operation with AC or DC control circuits
- Variety of auxiliary contacts, and timer modules
- Clamp terminals as standard with spring terminal, printed circuit board connection and fast-on connector types available
Applications.
- Industry, infrastructure, building.
- Simple control systems.
- Noise sensitive areas, disturbed mains supply, silent contactor.
- Compatible with programmable controller outputs, low consumption contactor.
- Switching contactor or relay coils.
- Powering control and signalling equipment.
What does the utilisation category AC1 and AC3 mean for the TeSys contactors?
Contactor utilisation categories define the current making and breaking values, based on the type of load to be controlled and the operating cycle conditions.
- AC-1: This applies to all AC devices with a power factor of at least 0.95. Example of use: resistive load, heating, distribution.
- AC-3: This applies to squirrel cage motors where breaking occurs while the motor is running. Example of use: all squirrel cage motors, lifts, escalators, conveyors, bucket elevators, compressors, pumps, mixers, air conditioning units.
What accessories are available?
- Auxiliary contact blocks with serrated wiping action
- Front mount dust tight auxiliary contact blocks
- Pneumatic time delay blocks
- Transient voltage surge suppressors
- Interface modules and electronic timers
- Mechanical latching blocks
