Schneider Electric Contactors - LC1D TeSys D Series

Electric motor sizes are increasing, especially in applications such as HVAC+R and large industrial processes. In response, Schneider Electric is extending the TeSys range of block type contactors for AC3 duty. TeSys F Contactors from Schneider Electric combine long mechanical and electrical life to offer a high reliable contactor. The LC1F series has been designed for integration in control systems and for motor control or resistive load applications. The TeSys F contactors offer quick simple setup while maintaining compliance with international standards.

Features and Benefits

• North American and International terminal markings
• Panel mounted with supplied screws
• Bidirectional peak limiting diode suppressor to protect the coil
• Fully tested, approved, and certified by national and international bodies: IEC, CCC, CSA, UL
• Easily installed accessories
• Flexible control circuit to suit a wide range of applications
• For AC supply refer to the LX9 coils and for a DC supply refer to LX4 coils

Applications:

• Industrial control systems
• Switching contractors or relay coils
• Powering control and signalling switches

What does the utilisation category AC1 and AC3 mean for the TeSys contactors?

Contactor utilisation categories define the current making and breaking values, based on the type of load to be controlled and the operating cycle conditions.
AC-1: This applies to all AC devices with a power factor of at least 0.95. Example of use: resistive load, heating, distribution.
AC-3: This applies to squirrel cage motors where breaking occurs while the motor is running.
Example of use: all squirrel cage motors, lifts, escalators, conveyors, bucket elevators, compressors, pumps, mixers, air conditioning units.

Simplified design, installation and maintenance

The TeSys F series features a flexible design with a wide range of compatible components to support design requirements. A wide range of auxiliaries provide additional contacts where needed and drawer-mounted coils allow easy maintenance and reduce downtime.

Is the TeSys F range a double break pole type contactor?

Yes the TeSys F range uses linear translation movement that provides double breaking of the poles.
