E720 and E740 Series - Single Phase Input, Three Phase Output
What is the E720 and E740 range?
The FR – E700 SC Frequency Inverter range sits within the Compact Drive Solution series and has been designed and created to be a powerful converter with a single phase input and a three phase output. This new series includes better features, performance and is more compact and easier to install than their predecessors.
Features and Benefits
Intelligent functions in every application with the feature of a senseless vector control. This technology is what makes the VDF achieve exceptional speed and torque performance, including motors that do not include the encoder feed – back loops. This feature plays a big part in saving additional hard-ware costs.
Advanced auto-tuning caters for good motor control, which makes it possible to generate accurate motor data. This particular Variable Frequency Drive includes a feature that allows the user to read out all of the necessary parameters directly from the motor in less than a minute, even when its not running.
Features an overload capacity of 200%, this is the maximum capacity for a short term overload for a full three seconds compared to 0.5 seconds in previous versions of this VDF. This function also reduces wasteful downtime caused through overload alarms.
This Frequency Inverter has built in responsive technology that helps protect both staff and venerable machinery. It responds perfectly to a variety to external events.
Torque limitation performs during start-up and deceleration which ensures better protection for your machines, this feature also plays a big part in preventing any damage happening to your machine.
Self-diagnostics encourages reliable operations, this VDF continuously monitors its own performance and checks to see if everything is working correctly, if any faults or errors occur, this will trigger an alarm. The Inverter also has the capability to measure the age of the main circuit.
Integrated USB port enables a direct connection of a PC or a Notebook computer.
Features an emergency stop function, which is a two channel emergency stop which allows for a safe shutdown.
Where can you find an Inverter Drive?
This type of Frequency Inverter is now standard class equipment that is found in many warehouses and working environments of the textile industry.
VDFs are usually used for conveyor belts, transport systems and warehouse applications.
They are typically used for industrial automation, being found in larger companies needing to move products from one place to another.
Can sometimes be used for small appliances such as simple fan or a pump load
Larger applications, such as high torque machine control machines.
How can I install my Inverter Drive?
Much like the footprint of the previous series, this VDF can be installed directly next to one another. Heat dissipation has been optimised through the design of the heat sinks, so that they can now be installed outside of a switchgear unit.
What is the service life of a VDF?
Mitsubishis Inverter Drives have a fantastic history for their reliability and longevity. This range could live for more than ten years, this is possible because of the high performance heat resisting capacitators, cooling fans with sealed bearings and special lubricating greases. Any flow of incoming cool air will not encounter any electrical components which ensures that there is not build up of dirt or dust. If you were to encounter a problem, the unit has been designed to be replaced in just 10 seconds – this is a quick and simple operation involving no wiring work.
