Eaton Non-Fused Switch Disconnectors - P1 Series Isolators With Metal Extension Shafts
The P1 series of switch disconnectors from Eaton is compact and robust. This range of isolator switches is suitable for use in applications where there is a need to manually power down and disconnect electrical equipment for servicing and maintenance by cutting the power supply to isolated parts of the circuit. These disconnect switches can also be used as safety switches.
With an IP65 degree of protection, the devices are suited to hard-wearing industrial environments with a rated uninterrupted current of up to 32 A. Available in four different mounting options (surface mounting, flush mounting, rear mounting, and service distribution board mounting). These switches can be selected and configured in a multitude of contact sequences.
With the metal extension shaft, the P1 switches can be mounted in electrical cabinets of up to 600 mm deep and with several Handle and Shaft options a solution can be found for every application.
Features and Benefits
Featuring extension shafts, the Eaton P1 switches can be mounted in electrical cabinets of up to 600mm deep, and offer a solution in many different applications due to the variety of handle and shaft options available.
The Eaton P1 range of switch-disconnectors offers high performance and reliability paired with low power losses.
Performs local isolation, manual override & safety switch functions.
Switch-disconnectors have rated uninterrupted current from 13 - 32 A.
P1 Series fit a standard front plate of 45 x 45 mm
Shaft is metal to increase the robustness and durability of devices.
Uses and Applications
This range of isolator switches from Eaton is suitable for use in applications where there is a need to disconnect electrical equipment from the circuit. This form of local isolation is most commonly needed for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment on the de-energised circuit. These disconnect switches can also be used as safety switches. Potential use in machine control panels.
What is the difference between a fused switch disconnector and a non-fused switch disconnector?
Unlike fused switch disconnectors, a non-fuse isolator switch does not use a fuse to break or put a circuit into isolation, they instead use a rotary switch or knife-blade disconnect to isolate and de-energise a circuit. Commonly used in industrial automation and control settings.
