Amphenol MIL-DTL-38999 series III Class-Z, black zinc jam nut receptacle connectors are fast becoming the defence industry standard in comparison to cadmium plated connectors, regulations are seeking to reduce or eliminate the use of cadmium for ecological reasons. These black zinc plated MIL-DTL-38999 jam nut connectors are RoHS complaint, incredibly durable with a considerable salt spray resistance of 500 hours and with up to 500 mating cycles. Mil-Spec plug connectors are offered in pin and socket contact variants in a wide selection of contact configurations and shell sizes. These circular connectors offer no significant galvanic reaction with cadmium, zinc cobalt or electroless nickel plated connectors. Suitable for a multitude of military applications from military aircraft and vehicles to submarines and communication devices, and also commercial applications that require a incredibly hard wearing connector.
