ControlMaster PID Controller CM30

The ControlMaster CM30 is a highly scalable 1/4 DIN PID process controller for a variety of measurement and control applications. Process information is clearly presented on the CM30’s full-colour TFT screen. The CM30’s crystal-clear screen is intuitive for simple configuration as well as being user customisable for the most efficient operation. The highly scalable unit works with both hardware and software functionality, a CM30 can be user customised easily to meet process control needs in application both simple and advanced.

The powerful problem solving functionality of the CM30 is provided by adaptive control functions for wide range of process applications. Configurable via the easy to navigate front panel menus or via PC configuration software, the CM30 can be quickly commissioned then tuned with the advanced autotune capability.

Features and Benefits

• Full-colour 9cm (3.5”) TFT display
• User-customisable
• English, German, French, Italian and Spanish language options
• Historical trending
• Scalable for application requirements
• Math and logic functionality
• IP 66 and NEMA 4X environmental protection
• Analogue PID
• Motorised valve control
• Basic and standard setpoint switching
• Output tracking
• Custom linearises
• Delay timers

Functionality:

8 Independent process alarms allow for analogue signal monitoring within the CM30 to enable extensive process monitoring functionality. Alarms can also be used to drive physical outputs or to drive soft-wired functions within the controller.

The autotune capability in the CM30 enables automatic calculation of the PID values straight after the initial configuration is complete for rapid commissioning of the unit in any application.

The CM30’s gain scheduling feature is used to control non-linear processes. Up to 3 different sets of PID parameters are automatically selected ensuring optimum control response regardless of process status.

Split output control configuration of the CM30 allows for controlling both heating and cooling of a single process if required.

Math and logic functions within the CM30 provide a range of arithmetic and equation capabilities. Averaging, mix. and max. hold, square root and signal switching functions can be performed in a single math block for simple equations or can be processed across multiple math blocks to construct more complex equations. Similar to the Math functionality, the 8 comprehensive logic blocks offer powerful interlock functionality. Logic equations inputs and outputs can be soft-wired to any digital signal in the controller to maximise flexibility.

I/O Build:

• 2 Analogue inputs
• 1 Analogue output
• 2 Relays

Base Templates:

• Single loop with local setpoint
• Single loop with remote setpoint

Standard Templates:

• Auto/Manual station (low or digital signal selection)
• Analogue backup station (low or digital signal selection)
• Single indicator/manual loader station
• Dual indicator/manual loader station
